All seems to be working well so far. (noted exception : needs RULES

I know you said you would be adding themes so users can choose the look-n-feel, and that's about all I can see missing so far.
As to boards :
* need on specific to your webcomic,
* /r/ a 'Chaos' board. (call it what you will)
Also /r/ another usergroup 'Chaos'. If you are not a member of 'Chaos' group, you never even see the Chaos board.
Chaos would be the festering underbelly of the forum. Give people a place to be insane if they so choose.
